Cricket's three formats and the major tournaments
To get started with cricket betting, you first need to understand the differences between formats. T20 is a fast-paced game of twenty overs — results are decided within a few hours and odds move quickly. ODI, or one-day cricket, is fifty overs; the pace is a bit slower but run and wicket counts are fairly predictable. Test cricket runs over five days — a patience game where conditions, pitch and bowling circumstances can completely change the nature of a bet.
For fans in Bangladesh, BPL is the domestic T20 event of the season — each edition sees the country's top cricketers alongside international stars. IPL is the most popular franchise tournament in South Asia, with matches running almost daily from March to May. Every Bangladesh Tigers match at the ICC T20 World Cup is the most important moment for fans in the country. Beyond these, Asia Cup, bilateral series and Test Championship matches are also regularly available in betting markets.
Because the style of betting differs across formats, cricket betting offers more variety than almost any other sport. At ck 111, multiple markets are open for matches across all these competitions, with separate odds for each match.
Football and other sports betting at ck 111
Football and other sports — how they differ from cricket
Alongside cricket, you can also bet on football at ck 111. Match winner, number of goals and handicap markets are the most popular in football. The main difference from cricket is the innings structure — in cricket, every wicket and every over creates new market opportunities that simply do not exist in football.
Cricket has dozens of markets from the toss to the final delivery. Football betting is mainly around two halves and the final score. In fast formats like T20, live odds shift minute by minute, which sets cricket apart from any other sport for live betting.

Popular betting markets — how each one works
Cricket betting offers many types of markets. Below is a brief description of seven main markets and how they work.
Match Winner
Which team wins the match — this is the simplest market. In a T20 between Team A and Team B, you pick one of two options. In Test cricket there are three options: Team A wins, Team B wins, or a draw.
Toss Winner
This is settled before the match starts — which team wins the toss. When pitch conditions favour batting or bowling, many bettors take an interest in this market. Since the result is entirely luck-based, it is the lightest market for casual entertainment.
Top Batsman
Which batter in a team will score the most runs — this market requires you to bet on a specific player. When a team has several strong batters, odds are spread across them because any one of them could have a standout game.
Total Runs — Over / Under
The betting site sets a target, for example 160 runs in an innings. You bet on whether the team will score more than that (over) or fewer (under). Pitch conditions, batting depth and the bowling attack all come into play.
Multi Bet (multiple selections)
Multiple matches or events are combined into a single bet. The odds for each selection multiply together, so the potential return is much higher — but if even one selection loses, the entire bet is lost. For example, picking Team A, Team B and another team to win three separate matches is a multi bet.
Wicket Market
Total number of wickets, which over the first wicket will fall in, or which bowler will take the most wickets — these kinds of markets are unique to cricket. On a seam-friendly pitch, this market becomes even more interesting.
How a multi bet works — an example
Say you pick three teams to win three separate matches, with decimal odds of 1.50, 1.60 and 1.90 respectively. In a multi bet, those odds multiply: 1.50 × 1.60 × 1.90 = 4.56 (approximately). So a ৳100 bet gives a potential return of ৳456 — but only if all three selections are correct. If even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Odds in three formats — decimal, fractional and American
Betting sites display odds in three different ways. It helps to understand what each one means.
| Odds Format | Team A wins (৳200 bet) | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Multiply stake by odds to get total return: ৳200 × 2.25 = ৳450 (৳250 profit + ৳200 stake back). |
| Fractional | 5/4 | ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked — so a ৳200 bet returns ৳250 profit, ৳450 total. |
| American (Plus) | +125 | A plus sign means ৳125 profit per ৳100 staked — on a ৳200 bet that is ৳250 profit, ৳450 total. |
Favourite odds — example
If Team B is the match favourite, their odds might be 1.25 in decimal, 1/4 in fractional and −400 in American. A minus sign shows how much you need to stake to win ৳100 profit — here ৳400. So on a ৳200 bet, the profit is only ৳50 and the total return is ৳250.
Odds in limited-overs matches
There is no draw in T20 or ODI, so odds cover only two options. For example, Team A at 1.80 and Team B at 2.00. A ৳500 bet on Team B returns ৳1,000 if Team B wins (৳500 profit); if Team A wins, ৳500 is lost.
Odds shift the moment a wicket falls
Live in-play betting — odds moving with wickets and overs
Live betting means placing bets while a match is in progress. In cricket this is particularly engaging because odds shift with every wicket, every boundary and every over.
Say Team A is batting and has already lost two wickets in the first five overs — at that moment Team A's win odds will go up and Team B's odds will come down. The reverse happens if Team A has an in-form batter scoring runs quickly.
In T20, odds move fastest in the last five overs. In-play markets can also include total runs, the over in which the next wicket falls, or six or four off the next ball.
